Motorola Atrix 4G Coming To T-Mobile UK In June

we have been watching the smartphone market closely and we saw that the launch of various devices in non-US regions especially the UK is growing at faster pace compared to the earlier period.

Motorola Atrix 4G is coming soon to T-Mobile in UK. Along with Atrix which is scheduled to be launched in June, the coming soon list of T-Mobile consists of HTC Desire S, LG Optimus Black, Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play and Samsung Galaxy Ace launching in 1 to 6 weeks on T-Mobile.

Atrix was previously available on Orange which is a sister carrier of T-Mobile. Since the two carriers are now merged up, the subscribers of one network can freely roam to the other.

Nokia to Bring Exclusive Windows Phone 7 Features in 2012

As part of the Nokia-Microsoft partnership for Windows Phone 7, Microsoft had stated previously that it would allow Nokia un-restricted access and alterations to the OS as necessary. The result of that collaboration and Nokia’s customizations to Windows Phone 7 may materialize as early as 2012.

Smart House reports: “The OS will include “several new software upgrades, exclusive functions forNokia phones and software that will not be available for other manufacturers who licence the OS.”"

To ease user concerns that a large and material change to the OS code may hinder timely delivery of over-the-air software and firmware updates by Microsoft to Nokia Windows Phone 7 handsets, Nokia has stated in the past that it would not make any changes that would disrupt OTA update deliveries. That said, it’s unclear what the exclusive changes or features would be that may appear on Nokia phones running Microsoft’s mobile OS in 2012.

Samsung Galaxy II out with Android 3.0

The latest series of Samsung Galaxy tablets have been anounced this week! These new Android based tablet smartphones are out with better screens, content and most importantly, speed. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 runs on Google Android 3.0 operating system nicknamed the Honeycomb and comes with a 1GHz dual-core processor.

Galaxy 10.1 has been launched with a whole new variety of features like a 10.1 inch display with AMOLED, 8 MP Autofocus camera a 2 MP front facing camera, dual surround sound speakers, HD video recorder. Also it supports HSPA and a 21 Mbps connectivity! For apps lovers, the phone is to be a delight in that field too.

These smartphones are the latest items that are being swooned over in the markets of Southeast Asia, Oceania and Taiwan and has given 2011′s competition for smartphones are great boost!

This phone also has great multimedia features like instant access to music, games and ebooks as well as social networking sites for all the entertainment lovers, fast web browsing and it can also multi task making the experience of using this phone similar to that of a PC. Other features like data encryption, virtual meetings and mobile device management by Microsoft, Cisco and SAP has also been added.

The Galaxy family has four new members added to its tech tree, the Galaxy Ace, Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Gio, Galaxy Mini and Galaxy Pro with their screen sizes between 2.8 inches to 3.5 inches.

Already 10 million units of the Samsung Galaxy SII have been sold and more are on their way to be sold catering to the needs of people from different fields mainly the youth who are enthusiastic about anything new in technology and satisfying their entertainment cravings!

Samsung Galaxy Ace Review

Samsung announced their latest budget Android smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Ace back in January, and we have just been testing the Galaxy Ace for the last week.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace comes with Android 2.2 Froyo, and it has just recently gone on sale in the UK, it comes with a range of features you would expect too see in a more expensive smartphone.

Specifications

As I mentioned previously, the Samsung Galaxy Ace comes with Android 2.2 Froyo out of the box, hardware wise you get 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels.

Processing is provided by an 800MHz processor, and there is also a five megapixel camera with 2x digital zoom and an LED flash, plus a range of shooting modes and photo effects.

You also get a built in FM Radio, Bluetooth 2.1, integrated 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, plus a microSD card slot, the model we tested came with a 2GB microSD card but it can take up to 32GB microSD cards.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace features 1350mAh battery, and the manufacturers specifications say that you will get up to 660 minutes of talk time on 2G, 390 minutes on 3G, plus up to 640 hours of standby time on 2G and 420 hours on 3G.

Design, Display and UI

The Samsung Galaxy Ace is designed to be a budget Android device, although it does feel very well made, maybe not as high as the Samsung Galaxy S, but it certainly feels better quality than the Samsung Galaxy Europa we tested recently.

The display is sharp and crisp and the design is excellent and it certainly feels very well made, and could quite easily be mistaken for a more expensive smartphone.

It comes with a pair of interchangeable covers, one black and one white, the black one features a rubberized texture which makes the phone easy to hold, whilst the white cover is smooth, and feels a bit more like plastic than the black one.

Camera

The camera on the Samsung Galaxy Ace is a five megapixel version, it also features two times digital zoom, and it is capable or recording video in a 320 x 240 resolution, no HD here unfortunately, and this is one of the cameras week points, the video recording isn’t the best, but I suppose this can be forgiven for the price.

The camera on the Galaxy Ace is pretty good ,  it does a good job at capturing pretty decent photosand it has a range of features built in which include autofocus, a range of shooting modes which include continuous and panorama plus a range of photo effects.

Conclusion

The Samsung Galaxy Ace is designed to be a budget Android smartphone, and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised with it, as it has a range of features that you would expect in a more expensive Android device.

It definitely feels a lot better quality that some of the other budget Android devices we have tested, and feels very well built, the display is sharp and crisp and the touchscreen is responsive.

The camera is decent, it will do a good jobs on photos, video is another matter and if you are the sort of person who uses your smartphone for recording a lot of videos you may want to consider something else.

Overall we really liked the Samsung Galaxy Ace, for the money it is an excellent budget smartphone, very well made and very well designed, if you are in the market for a budget Android device, I would definitely recommend you add the Samsung Galaxy Ace to your list of devices to check out.

Nokia N900 Review

The Nokia N900 is actually a re-entry into our top 20 mobile phones, which shows the enduring power of this seemingly unloved Nokia child.

It’s not a phone for everyone, that’s for sure – it’s chunky, has a resistive screen, uses an OS that no other device does – but it’s been a mainstay among fans due to the sheer amount of stuff you can do with it.

Modders and hackers love being able to do things like write programs to control your TV using the infra-red port, or use the blindingly simple music streaming or RSS feeds.

There’s also a top notch QWERTY keyboard underneath, and as much multi-tasking (with big thumbnails) as you could like, and that’s before we even talk about the fact you can get Firefox mobile on there and soon the next-gen MeeGo OS.

Our quick verdict: It’s an odd phone the Nokia N900 – it’s not got the same exposure as the like of the Nokia N8 for instance – but for the sheer range of functionality and easy to use features, it’s quickly becoming something of a modern cult classic. Samsung Mobile teases next Galaxy Tab unveiling at Unpacked event

Samsung Mobile will hold their next Unpacked event at CTIA in Orlando and all signs are pointing towards a new Tab announcement. The last Unpacked event gave us the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab 10.1, so our hopes are high that Samsung will announce the US versions of these products along with a few surprises.
The latest teaser reveals an image of an unannounced product and asks, “What’s your Tab life?” Below the question are the numbers 78910, which many people believe are Samsung’s different Tab sizes (7, 8.9, and 10 inch). Samsung launched the 7-inch Tab last year and showed off the 10.1 inch Honeycomb tablet at Mobile World Congress, so the 8.9 inch version should fit nicely between them.
Rumors suggested that Samsung Mobile was planning to unveil the Galaxy Tab 8.9 last month at MWC, but the device was pulled from the Unpacked event at the very last moment. We do not know if the product was not ready in time or Samsung chose to hold it over for their next event.
When it comes to the specs of the Galaxy Tab 8.9, I would expect it to be comparable to the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Motorola Xoom. That means you will find Android 3.0, a dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 1 GB of RAM, and all the other bells and whistles.
The Tab 8.9 might also be one of the thinnest tablets, according to the teaser image provied by Samsung. We can see the back of a tablet with a bulge around the headset jack. This means Samsung’s new tablet could end up being thinner than the Apple iPad 2, which measured in at 8.8 mm.
Thankfully we won’t have to wait much longer to find out what Samsung has been working on because CTIA is only two weeks away. What do you hope Samsung will announce on March 22nd?
