The forthcoming HTC Desire HD has been officially put on pre-order from Vodafone, and gets its own UK release date to go with it.
Customers itching to try out the latest Android handset will be able to get their hands on one from 14 October, less than a month after its announcement (are you watching, Nokia?)
The phone will be free on two year, £35 a month contracts, offering up 900 minutes, unlimited texts and 750MB of data per month when purchased online.
Everything's better online
Those that choose to get it in the high streets will only get 600 minutes and 500MB of data, as well as missing out on 5MB of free roaming.
The lower data package is a little sad - while smartphone usage is usually much less than users expect per month (for instance, the average iPhone user only sucks up 200MB of data per month) there's a nice premium feel to getting 1GB of data in your price plan.
Still, we're very much looking forward to posting our HTC Desire HD review in the next week or so, so keep your peepers peeled to see if this is the phone to finally knock the original HTC Desire off its perch.
Check out the Vodafone pre-order page if you want to be one of the first in line for this new top-end phone - is a 4.3-inch screen too big for you?
