Akai Launches First Triple GSM SIM Supporting Phone In India


The Indian mobile handset market is really up for a roller coaster ride. After launching its dual SIM phone WOW, Akai Mobiles has Akai Triocome up with the first triple GSM SIM supporting handset in India known as Trio.

Features of Akai Trio

Akai Trio is equipped with features such as a 1.3 mega-pixel camera along with a 2 inch display. Akai Trio boasts of robust multimedia and connectivity options such as FM radio, audio and video player, Bluetooth, WAP, GPRS etc.
The phone’s memory can be expanded up to a whopping 8GB and the battery of the phone offers a talk time of around 5 hours and a standby time up to 400 hours. Other features of the phone include an in-built sound recorder and E-book.
Akai Trio is priced at a cost effective price point of Rs 3295 and can be availed from 15000 retail outlets across the nation. The company also offers one year warranty. Other triple SIM handsets in the country are from Olive Telecom and Intex Technologies.
But the handsets from these companies can equip only CDMA and GSM SIM cards whereas the Akai Trio can accommodate CDMA +GSM+GSM SIMS. With such new models being launched in the market, it will be interesting to monitor the sales of handsets in the country in coming days.
