LG Optimus 2X Release Date and Price: Confusion

If you’ve been following all the news on the latest upcoming phones you’ll have seen that theLG Optimus 2X has impressed many and is being eagerly awaited and there have been previous rumors of a release date.
The Optimus 2X will be the first smartphone to be released with a dual-core Tegra 2 processor in the U.K., has 4-inch WGVA display and 8-megapixel camera and you can see more about the specifications on our previous article. However we now have more news for you as we hear from Stuart Miles over on Pocket-Lint that the LT Optimus 2X is to be released in the U.K. in mid-to-late February.
Meanwhile Expansys goes one further and lists an actual date of February 21 at a no-contract price of £499.99, according to Pocket-Lint. However we just checked the Expansys UK site and the release date is listed as March 21. Shown at CES 2011 running on Android 2.2 Froyo, it seems that LG has confirmed that it will be running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, although it’s not yet known what it will be running out of the box.
